Growing up in a small town, Kristen Phelps participated in a variety of sports and activities including everything from dance and cheerleading to basketball and track. Her biggest passion in high school was basketball and remained active in intramural and recreational sports at Oklahoma State University, from which she graduated in 2005 with a degree in Marketing.
However, years of accumulated physical and emotional stress quickly led her down the path of chronic neck and back pain – something that many people experience at some point in their lives. By 2010, her body was in a state of distress that she never thought she would have to experience – especially in her 20s. Something had to change! Through consistent and persistent effort, natural healing treatments and strengthening techniques, she was able to overcome this obstacle on the road to achieving her fitness and lifestyle goals. Now, her passion is to help other people do the same!
Kristen has been involved in group training and one-on-one fitness since 2009 and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM). As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Kristen’s goal is to help you reach yours – whatever that might be – in the most efficient and effective way possible. She became a certified Piloxing instructor in November, 2013, and followed that certification up with Piloxing Knockout in 2015 and Piloxing Barre in 2016.

Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) is a boxing-based, non-contact, comprehensive fitness program designed specifically and exclusively for people with Parkinson's Disease. RSB training camp and the people she has met through Rock Steady Boxing have impacted her immensely and is now her passion in the health and fitness industry. Coach Kristen runs two official Rock Steady Boxing affiliate programs: RSB Tulsa and RSB OKC.
On November 1, 2013, Kristen and her husband, Jordan, welcomed their first son, Sam. A year and a half later, his sister, Linden, joined the family. Their most recent addition, Elliot, joined the family in November 2017. Because of these three additions to their family, Kristen can certainly relate to women that are expecting or have just had children as well as all moms who have a busy and demanding lifestyle. She became the owner of Impact Fitness in June, 2018 and is looking forward to continuing to serve the Tulsa community in the health and fitness industry!
